Anton/Bauer 24/7 at its Sixth Olympic Games

Anton/Bauer representatives will be on call 24/7 during the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in February at all venues to supply technical services, loaner and spare equipment.

As part of a multi-year Olympic equipment supply agreement with NBC, Anton/Bauer will be on site with tech support and equipment for all of the broadcaster’s portable power needs during the Games. For their portable cameras, NBC will be using a complement of HyTRON 120 batteries, InterActive 2000 PowerChargers and on camera Ultralights throughout the Games. Venues include Hockey at the Peaks Ice Arena, Figure and Speed skating at the Salt Lake Ice Center and Slalom and Freestyle skiing events at Deer Valley, Biathlon and X-country at Soldier Hollow. The superior performance of the HyTRON 120 battery, with less than 1/10th the internal impedance of other new chemistry types, makes it the logical choice for handheld work in Winter Olympic conditions.

As part of its continuing cooperation with Panasonic, beginning at the ’92 Barcelona Games. Anton/Bauer will be providing equipment to DVCPRO users before the Games and supporting Panasonic with back up support throughout. Those using Panasonic equipment with Anton/Bauer power during the Games include the Japan Broadcasting Pool among numerous other major world broadcasters.
