Unprecedented warranty protection backs advanced technology
and service life for batteries and charger products

April 19, 1999 -- Anton/Bauer announced totally new warranty protection for its advanced battery and charger products at the opening of the NAB 1999 Exhibition in Las Vegas.

The Maxx warranty provides a full three years of protection on all PowerCharger products as well as all ProPac, TrimPac and ProFormer Gold Mount batteries - as much as 12 times the warranty offered on competative products.

"The advanced technology of InterActive charging and the proven service life of these products allow us to make this guarantee," said Michael Accardi, Domestic Sales Manager for Anton/Bauer. "Anton/Bauer has always been recognized for reliability and long life battery systems. Now we are backing this reliability and service life with a warranty which is superior to the warranty protection on capital equipment costing much, much more."

Batteries, often thought of as consumable items similar to video tape, can now have their cost amortized over a guaranteed minimum of three full years. By calculating battery cost over their guaranteed life, the operating costs of the advanced technology of Anton/Bauer systems is lower than any alternative types - including obsolete consumer slide in types.

"These days everyone is looking to save money on their operations. Operating with fewer batteries, which last longer, provides substantial savings," said Accardi. "In most cases the annual operating savings will pay for the new system, including chargers, with room to spare."

The new warranty is offered worldwide through Anton/Bauer dealers and distributors in 40 countries. Each of the covered products carry the Anton/Bauer cameraman logo, called Maxx, to easily identify their improved performance and service life.
