Anton/Bauer Improves Capacity, Speed and
Performance
At NAB 2003 Anton/Bauer highlights new chargers and improved capacity
batteries to its broad lineup of power solutions for the broadcast and
professional video industry.
Commenting on the latest additions, Shin Minowa, VP of Market
Development said, “ The improvements in our Dionic and HyTRON systems
give our customers a choice of the highest capacity batteries in the
industry - all capable of being charged on the same chargers already in
the field. New chargers now offer the convenience of simultaneous
charging and ensure the most reliable performance with the least amount
of downtime. Our customers can add new batteries to existing inventories
or select a complete power system solution for their new camera
purchase.”
The new products are:
Dionic 90 – From its introduction last year at 80 wh, this
lightweight lithium ion battery’s capacity is improved by 10% resulting
in an additional 1/2 hour to the average camera’s runtime (over 3.5 hrs
@ 25 watts). Weighing less than 2 lbs., the battery can power typical
camera loads plus 50 watt on-camera lights. Dionic 90 is the highest
capacity lithium ion battery not subject to the new Federal and
International regulations limiting the transport of lithium and lithium
ion batteries.
HyTRON 120 – The popular full sized HyTRON system battery, has
become a staple in broadcast and high definition for its high power and
versatility. Capable of powering any camera or camera/light combination,
the 20% improvement in capacity to 120 watt hours adds almost 1 hour of
runtime to the typical ENG camera runtime (4.75 hours @ 25 watts).
Titan TWQ – This all new addition to the Titan™ series of
chargers and power supplies can simultaneously address any 4 Anton/Bauer
batteries with all the field proven reliability of Anton/Bauer
InterActive charging. By charging all batteries at the same time, TWQ
will deliver all batteries up to four times faster than sequencing
chargers. The TWQ is CE approved and features a wide range worldwide AC
mains input.
PowerCharger DUAL 2722 – This new two position PowerCharger
standard features include simultaneous charging, a 70 watt auxillary XLR
connection for camera power and a 2 amp discharge module for automatic
testing and evaluation of any Anton/Bauer battery.
RealTime™ display – Introduced last year with the Dionic battery,
the unique RealTime display is now standard on all Anton/Bauer Digital
batteries – HyTRON, Dionic, ProPac and TrimPac models. RealTime is the
only “fuel gauge” which monitors energy put into and taken out of the
battery under all operating conditions and displays remaining capacity
in analog (full to empty) and remaining time formats simultaneously.
RealTime requires no setup or special connections.
