New program provides value for obsolete batteries and chargers

April 19, 1999 -- Anton/Bauer announced an expanded Trade-in program allowing customers to trade in old or obsolete video battery and charger products for substantial savings on new Anton/Bauer products. At the NAB convention in Las Vegas, the company announced several new programs to make their battery systems more affordable.

"Often in spite of clear operating benefits to converting old, obsolete battery systems to new technology customers still have to address their accounting department over the issue of their existing investment in batteries and chargers," said Michael Accardi, Domestic Sales Manager for Anton/Bauer. "Customers' inventory still has value to them and this new program offers the opportunity to take advantage of that value and get the benefit of the latest battery system technology."

The new program allows customers to trade their existing inventories toward the purchase of new InterActive 2000 PowerChargers, as well as ProPac, Trimpac and ProFormer batteries. Batteries traded in are valued according to size and capacity relative to the new battery being purchased. Chargers are valued in trade according to the number of charge positions being purchased.

Trading in a typical inventory of obsolete box style batteries and chargers (BP and NP type) will save as much as 30% from the regular price of a completely new system.
